What a way to get your vitamins and minerals! Stir into yogurt
or hot cereal, eat it on its own or serve over sorbet
1 cup dried plums (prunes)
½ cup dried mixed fruit
2 Tablespoons sugar
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
2 cups water
In a 1-quart microwave safe bowl, combine all
ingredients and stir to mix. Cover and vent. Microwave on HIGH for 3
minutes, or until boiling. Remove from microwave and allow to cool
for at least 30 minutes before serving
