Rice Pilaf
by Nicole Henderson Auger

  • 6 cups cooked wild rice
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 2 bell peppers (chopped)
  • 2 sweet onions (chopped)
  • 4T butter (or substitute)
  • ½ cup white wine

In a large pan sauté the garlic, peppers, and onions until tender in the butter. Add the rice and wine. Cook until all liquid is evaporated and rice is thoroughly heated.

Set up a food station at a large table with plates, glasses, cutlery, and napkins. Add a couple of sodas and 1.5 liter bottles of white wine and you are ready to relax and enjoy yourself. Oh, don’t forget to pop some popcorn (preferably microwave) when it’s movie time.
