    No Bake Cookies Basics

    No-bake cookies are great for a quick treat, kids that are learning to cook, or for whipping up a treat when you don’t have access to an oven. Most no-bake cookie recipes require a stove top or microwave, a pan for heating syrup and a mixing bowl for batter as well as the basic baking essentials like measuring cups and spoons.

    With a few basic rules and a little experimenting, you can create a no-bake cookie recipe that your family will adore.

    Basic Recipes

    Chocolate No-bakes

    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1 stick margarine
    • ¼ cup cocoa
    • ½ cup milk
    • ½ cup peanut butter
    • 3 cups oatmeal
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla

    Melt margarine, sugar, cocoa and milk into a saucepan. Boil for one minute and add peanut butter. Stir in oats and vanilla before spooning onto waxed paper by tablespoons and cooling.

    No-Bake Chocolate Coconut Cookies

    • 2 cups sugar
    • ½ cup milk
    • 1 cup oatmeal
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 6 large marshmallows (cut up)
    • ½ cup butter or margarine
    • 1 dash salt
    • 1 cup chocolate chips
    • 1 cup coconut

    Mix the sugar, milk, butter and salt together in a saucepan. Heat to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix until chocolate chips and marshmallows are melted. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. Cool until set.

    Butterscotch Cookies (Haystacks)

    • 1 (12 oz. package) of butterscotch chips
    • ½ cup peanut butter
    • 5 cups corn flakes or chow mein noodles
