When we first move into an apartment we do things to make it look
sensational but as time wears on, especially if you live there for a few
years, it gets to become kind of humdrum and let’s face it- drab. You
can only rearrange your furniture so many times and some pieces cannot
be moved at all (such as the television if you want to continue to have
cable!).

In the first part of drab to dazzling we learned about the importance
of paint to add pizzazz to an apartment that needs a pick-me-up very
quickly. We also learned about some creative ways to use flowers. Now
let us learn some other equally beneficial ways to make your apartment
wow everyone, including the guest of honor- you!! :)
Just because you are living on a shoestring budget does not mean that
your apartment cannot look fabulous. You can decorate frugally but still
find plenty of enjoyment in it. Read on for some suggestions as to how
you can be a frugal and fun do-it-yourself decorator!
In part one we learned four important kitchen safety tips. Now let us
continue on with other things you can do to keep a safe kitchen in your
home.
Are you aware of the fact that the majority of foodborne illnesses
that occur are the result of improper handling of food in your home?
It’s true.
Are
you in a mood to make your apartment as casual, relaxed and comfortable
as can be? Home is where you are supposed to feel warm, comfortable and
as homey as possible.
Expressionism
is defined as “the tendency of an artist to distort reality for an
emotional effect; it is a subjective art form.” Expressionism can be
found in a variety of types of art forms be they literature, painting,
music, film, theatre, and architecture. However it is important to note
that throughout history there has never been a movement known as the
“Expressionism Movement.”
Do
you ever find yourself running out of ideas for redecorating or
revamping your apartment? Just like a type of writer’s block,
decorator’s block can be a dismal state of mind and it can strike any
time of the year. No season is exempt when it comes to the dreaded
decorator’s block. You make efforts but it just doesn’t seem to come
together.
You have heard of hot oil treatments for the hair (or at least us ladies
have!) so why not an olive oil treatment for your apartment? Olive oil
is one of the healthier of all of the oils and it is low in fat and
works well in a variety of recipes. Are you aware that olive oil can be
of use around your apartment as well? It can. Let’s take a look.
