There is no need to have a boring, nondescript bathroom in your apartment. Find your creative spark and run with it! To get you started, let’s take a look at two central themes that you might want to go with- the jungle theme and the beach theme.

Jungle theme
Bring out the wild animal in yourself and all your guests by buying animal-print accessories such as soap dishes, a toothbrush holder, a drinking glass as well as a safari-inspired bath mat and toilet-seat cover.

You get the idea. Buy plush towels and washcloths in colors to go with your chosen theme and decor, such as rich browns, beige, linen and white. Animal-print towels are very colorful and you shouldn’t find it too difficult to purchase a shower curtain with a jungle twist, such as one with the king of the jungle on it, or perhaps a whole pride of lions.

Consider adding some animal-themed prints as well to make your bathroom even more wild and untamed looking. Also add a lush potted plant, if you have enough room. Even if you only have the space for a small plant, any size will do.

Beach theme
If you’re a beach person at heart, go for a seaside or beach theme. A theme with water is always a fun one and you can easily accessorize your bathroom for less by purchasing a soap dish in the shape of a seashell and a drinking glass and toothbrush holder with beach like scenes on them. Consider assembling your own collection of beach memorabilia and displaying it on a shelf in the bathroom or behind the toilet. All this requires is some pretty shells of different shapes and sizes and some sand. You can buy all these items or collect your own the next time you make a visit to the beach! If you are so inclined, add some seaweed to your beach display.
