A Welcome from Cheryl
Car maintenance is one of the most important things you can do to make your car last for thousands of miles - even over 300,000 miles! If you keep to the maintenance schedule that came with your car, your car should last many years. Changing your oil is one of the most important things you can do. Your oil should be changed every 3,000 miles or three months, whichever comes first. There are other important maintenance items on your car's schedule, and they all lead to a long running engine.
Cheryl's Bio
Cheryl and her husband Don, who is a master mechanic, owned a shop for many
years. Cheryl gets her training from her husband, and can work on just about any
make and model of car. She particularly likes the muscle cars, especially Novas,
Camaros and Chevelles. She has restored three cars with Don - a 72 Nova, a 68 SS
Camaro and a 69 SS Chevelle.
Cheryl was trained on the Matco OTC4000 computer, Snap On's hand held computer,
and can diagnose many problems without the help of the computer. Her specialties
are diagnosing drivability problems and building Chevrolet racing engines.
Cheryl also loves animals, and when not tinkering with the Camaro and Nova, runs
an online gift shop (cherdons.com). She donates the profits to Elmira's Wildlife
Sanctuary. She is a member of Carina MacDonald's RAW-lite group, is the
administrator of the cockatoo message board at BirdsnWays.com, writes a blog for
her dog, Rambo (rambogsd.blogspot.com) and works full time as a paralegal at a
local Tampa law firm.
