daily updates on the current national gas average,
including side-by-side comparisons with the gas prices
for yesterday and one year ago today.
Fuel Cost
Calculator- Want to know how much your vacation is
going to cost you? This AAA website has the answer. Plug
in your start and stop location and your vehicle's make,
model and year; and the calculator will tell you how
much the gas is going to cost you-down to the last
painful penny.
GasBuddy.com- How much does gas currently cost in
your area? Locate your state on the map, and click to
find out. Consumers log in to this website to report the
highest and lowest prices they've found around town.
Also includes a link for driving directions to the
various gas stations listed.

This is another website where consumers report the gas
prices they've spotted around town. Self-proclaimed as
"the world's largest consumer advocacy site for gas
prices," this site is a good follow up to gasbuddy.com.
National Renewable Energy Laboratory- Tempted by the
new tax incentives for purchasing a hybrid electric
vehicle? Find out more at this website, which includes
links to the appropriate IRS publication and information
about individual state tax incentives.
CarPoolConnect.com- Search the database at this
website to find other commuters in your area who are
interested in setting up a carpool or to find
information on how you can join an existing carpool.
eRideShare.com- This website is designed to connect
commuters and/or travelers who are looking to share a
ride. Planning a trip soon? This could be your way to
cut costs.
Car Sharing. Network-
Do you live in an area that requires little driving, but
still enjoy the convenience of having a car for
occasional trips? Then, save yourself the expense of
maintaining a vehicle, and join a car sharing network.
This program will give you access to a vehicle whenever
you need one, and you only pay for the trips you make.
Accu Traffic- Sitting in traffic wastes both gas and

and you'll know when you need to take an alternate route
or postpone your departure.
