Lavender is a hardy perennial plant that grows between
one-two and a half feet depending on the variety. It blooms mid-late
summer offering grayish-green wooly leaves with buds of violet,
pink, blue, or white. Beautiful addition to the herb garden or any
border.
Raising
Lavender can be propagated from seeds or
cuttings. It is easy to grow in well drained loam or sandy soil in
full sun.
Harvesting/Preparation
Cut the stems before the buds open. Remove
the leaves then tie the stems in small bundles. Hang them
upside-down to dry.
