Teddy Bear Christmas Gift Basket

Any child would love a Teddy Bear Christmas Gift Basket with a couple of books in it under their Christmas tree this holiday season! In fact, nobody would turn down a gift basket with a teddy bear inside, would they? Especially when the gift basket holds a couple of teddy bears, books, and, cocoa mugs, homemade cocoa, and a couple of candy canes to stir it with!

Teddy Bear Christmas Gift Basket—Perfect for Anyone

As Christmas Gift Baskets go, this is a perfect Christmas gift. A Teddy Bear Christmas Gift Basket can be made with any kind of basket in mind. In this case, I’ve used a basket decorated with Christmas trees, but really any type of basket will do. I’ve also added two teddy bears instead of one—just because the teddy looked a little forlorn alone.

Supplies

This gift basket would be perfect for anyone, but especially for a family with two young children. Two teddy bears, two mugs—one embossed with the word “Peace” the other with the word “Joy” and both filled with homemade cocoa and a candy cane—perfect for twins! Add a Christmas book or two and viola, you have the perfect gift!

It’s also a nice basket to leave on a doorstep as a mystery basket. If used as a mystery Christmas Gift Basket you can leave it for a newly married couple—the teddy bears would look cute beneath their Christmas tree, and instead of cocoa, add a packet of their favorite coffee or tea and/or a special Christmas coffee or other drink for the holidays.

Instead of a peppermint candy cane, add a rum based candy cane. Yum!

A Teddy Bear Christmas Gift Basket is also perfect for those hard to please folks. If they don’t want the teddy bear they can always give it to the neighbor kids. But nobody turns down hot chocolate, or maybe a soup mix, which also can be served in the mugs.

Maybe you want to stick with cocoa and add a couple of spoons dipped in specialty chocolate, too. The spoons are easy to make, use few ingredients (melted chocolate and a plastic spoon is all you need), and say Merry Christmas loud and clear!

Cute and Inexpensive

These particular stuffed animals were purchased for this Teddy Bear Christmas Gift Basket at the dollar store. Cute and inexpensive—what more could a gift buyer ask for? The gift basket was a recycled Christmas gift from last year, and the mugs—also from the dollar store—were equally inexpensive. The book or books you include can be as individual as your own book, such as the case with, “Classic Christmas, True Stories of Holiday Cheer and Goodwill,” compiled and edited by me under my maiden name—Helen Szymanski—or an old favorite. Classic Christmas is available at Amazon or in any bookstore nationwide, and sells for approximately $13.

This entire gift fell well within the $20 mark, so if inexpensive is a word that comes to mind this holiday season, then think gift basket, and shop to your heart’s content!
