Ten, Nine, Eight

Molly Garret Bang

A dad lovingly puts his daughter to bed by soothingly counting the things in her room backward from ten. By the time they reach the number one the child has been securely lulled off to sleep.  Lovely bedtime time book, it is also a wonderful introduction to numbers as each page has a large number in the left corner and large pictures giving the child an opportunity to count the objects.

Written and illustrated by the author of such books as The Paper Crane and Goose the vibrant colors have proven to be a children's favorite.

Boston Globe. Caldecott Honor Book; ALA Notable Children's Book.
