Ryanes (Vannie to her friends) is a true movie maven. She has been an avid
movie fan for more than 35 years and has collected a large film library. Ms.
Ryanes has a vast knowledge and love of classic black and white, noir and
vintage color movies. As a contributing editor at Garden and Hearth Publishing,
she helped to create Going to the Movies with Vannie, A Look at Old
and New Movies. She is responsible for review of current films and articles
concerning the film industry. In addition to review of new movies, Ms. Ryanes
introduces her reader audience to classic movies dating back to the 1940‘s and
earlier. She will discuss "noir" and "B" movies, "letterbox" versus "widescreen"
