Diane's Bio

Diane is a former newspaper reporter and editor who left the newsroom 17 years ago to become a stay-at-home mom and freelance writer. She is the feature writer for Suite101.com's Stay-at-Home Parents page  and writes a blog, "Just Humor Me," on her personal Web page at dianelaneyfitzpatrick.com .

Diane has been a religious education teacher for 10 years and has done extensive volunteer work over the years. She currently spends much of her time on the bleachers watching her children astound her with their athletic and musical abilities. She enjoys cooking, entertaining at home, reading great fiction, running, knitting, playing the piano, photography, and watching comedies and laughing with her family.
