Anne's Bio
Anne Duguid is a relatively adventurous Scot
who loves learning languages and traveling throughout Europe. She has
lived and worked as a journalist in Paris and the South of France, a
teacher in Barcelona, a secretary and translator in a prestigious
Portuguese horseriding establishment and is now focusing on writing
about the new countries in the EU, especially Bulgaria.
With an Honours MA degree in English Language and Literature from St
Andrews University--and no, she doesn't know Prince William--Annie's
first career was as a national news reporter and features writer firstly
with the Sunday Post and Sunday Mail in Scotland then with the Sunday
Express in its Fleet Street days.
She combined working as a stringer for the Sunday Express in the
Algarve, Portugal with learning about Classical riding on Portuguese
Lusitano horses before returning to London where she taught English and
Classics for several years before moving to her present home off the
southern coast of England, where she and her Dutch husband share their
love of animals and the environment. She is a lecturer in Modern Foreign
Languages at a local College and a Family Learning tutor in primary and
middle schools.
When she is not traveling, she spends her time teaching, writing, and
working spasmodically on her website Personal Features at
http://www.personalfeatures.co.uk and her blog Romantic
Journeys at
http://www.romanticjourneys.blogspot.com
And then there's the romantic suspense novel with a Bulgarian background
to be finished this spring... Cue for another romantic journey.
