Let’s face it, no matter what the reason, we all want to feel great and look the
best that we can. Unfortunately, most of us feel that we don’t have the time to
devote to satisfying this desire. I propose that we ALL have time to be fit. We
just need to use the time we have more effectively. Follow me as I go through a
daily routine and introduce habits to live by.
After a Shower
Certain rituals make up our daily routine. A slight modification might just
amaze you. Before you dry off from your morning shower, stay in the stall and do
triceps kickbacks. I have
always matched my repetitions with my age. I plan on getting better with age and
this approach will get me there.
Brushing your Teeth
Dentists recommend brushing after each meal; I recommend doing
squats while you brush. Get clean teeth
and tight buns.
Driving
While driving in your car, contract (tighten) your abdominal muscles. Start
doing it as long as you can, progressively challenging yourself using landmarks.
With Children
Do you have children? You could roller blade, jump rope or dance together. How
about a jogger buggy and brisk walk or jog? Use your imagination; variety in
your activities will help keep your children and your muscles interested.
Time for Bed
When your day is over and all is said and done, make it your personal rule to do
a given number of push-ups before
climbing into bed. When you’re fast asleep you can dream that when you were
having fun and not paying attention, you actually began to shape up.
